Mission:  To serve families of children or adults with special needs;

providing horseback riding and related activities.

We create a fun and therapeutic environment where everyone is able!

Individuals Served: Children and adults with disabilities and their families.

Over 100 students each year in southeastern Minnesota.

Classes offered:  Group lessons offered four sessions per year:  Spring session focused on Adults, two summer sessions for children and families, and another adult session offered in the fall. *Each session is 5 weeks long, with a group lesson once a week (usually on Monday or Tuesday evenings).

Limited Private lessons are available, and RideAbility also serves the community by offering group visits to the barn (we call these OneTimeFunTime visits).

Rider Fee:  $150.00 for a group lessons in a 5 week session.  $30.00 for a 1 hour private lesson. *Clients also pay a $20 annual membership for each family.

(Partial scholarships available upon request, some special funding to provide full scholarships.)

Employees:  RideAbility is run by a volunteer staff – Join a staff-team!

Primary Funding Sources:  United Way, Pine Island United Fund, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, MN Horse Council, Lions clubs, People In Business Care, area business and community sponsors, horse sponsorships, memberships, class fees, private donations and many FUN-fundraisers each year.

Fund Raisers:  RideAbility Annual Luncheon & Silent Auction, Barn Dance & Silent Auction, Raffle drawings, Olmsted County Fair pony rides, Kwik Trip Reward Cards, Facebook online fundraisers and more.

Donation Opportunities:  Financial contributions, memberships, in-kind donations, office supplies, equipment, trophies, ribbons, prizes for our students, awards for our volunteers, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities:  … sidewalking, horse-leading, volunteering your horse, instructing, assisting classes, fundraising, grounds-keeping, and more.
